We make it our mission to help our clients continue to live their lives with Independence and self-respect at home.
Northern Virginia’s Premier Home Care Provider
Old Dominion Home Care believes in honoring independence, valuing individuality and preserving the dignity of seniors in our community. Most seniors prefer to live in the comfort of their own home environment. ODHC is dedicated to providing quality home care services that support seniors in their home, and the families who care for them.
Old Dominion Home Care is a family owned business providing home care solutions throughout the Northern Virginia region – Fairfax, Arlington, Loudoun, Prince William counties, Alexandria city and surrounding areas. We are licensed by the Virginia Department of Health to provide Personal Care services.
The owners are personally involved in every step of the process to ensure that you and your family receive the best service.
We provide the following services:
- Caregiving Services
- Parkinson’s Care
- Dementia Care
- Senior Visitor Program
- Respite Care / Hospital Sitter / Facility Care
Providing the best care for our clients and providing peace of mind to their families is our top priority.
The Caregiving Services we offer can provide families more quality time together. We can do this by having a Caregiver assist with some of the household tasks (laundry, meal preparation, light housekeeping) as well as with Personal Care services (bathing, dressing, medication reminders, etc.).
We also have a Senior Visitor program providing socialization, social outings, errands and appointments, transportation and or merely enjoying quality one-on-one time in the home together. Our Senior Visitors do not provide any personal care or housekeeping services.
Going the extra step for our clients…because it is personal to our clients and us!

“After her cancer diagnosis, Chuck’s mother had around the-clock help with Old Dominion,” said Linda. “We all worked together; family, our parents, and their caregivers. As it turned out, it was both of our parents’ last year and those relationships were very precious to us all.”
“The caregivers knew what they were doing. They were trained well and several of the young women we had have gone on to nursing school. Old Dominion consistently provided bright, caring people.”
It was over the span of nearly five years that each of Linda and Chuck’s parents had received the care and support they needed from the same reliable home care company, and all lived well into their 90s. By knowing when to ask for help, the couple found compassionate assistance that enabled them to enjoy and treasure each of their parents as they neared the end of their long and rich lives.

“She is so helpful, but it’s not just that,” says Sandy of Nydia, a caregiver here at Old Dominion Home Care. “She is also very kind and friendly. I know her family, and she knows my family. We have a friendship that goes beyond the care and assistance that she provides.”
