Meet the Owners
As a brother and sister growing up in Fairfax County, we feel a true sense of community to the seniors we serve throughout the Northern Virginia region. We realize how important family is but with distance and busy lives it is often difficult to provide the support and care that parents need to remain in their homes as they age. We are here to provide the additional support and care that our clients need and peace of mind for their families. We are committed to helping seniors find joy in their life, and in their homes as they age. We continually strive to exceed our client’s expectations and to provide the consistent, quality care they deserve.
Please let us know if we can help you or your loved one with any of our services.

Peace of Mind
ODHC is able to offer peace of mind to family members of our clients. Often families do not live in the same cities nor are they often able to be with their loved ones as much as they would like. Our caregivers are available to cover the times when services are needed.
Think of us as well trained personal assistants. Our caregivers are at the ready to assist our clients as needed but understand that our clients often want to do all they are able for themselves.
Every client is different. ODHC staff and nurses approach each client separately knowing that the particular needs will be different. When Personal Care is needed, our nurses develop a Care Plan that is tailored to the client.
ODHC respects our clients by carefully listening to what they would like. Our caregivers encourage clients to do what they are able to do and then step in to assist when needed. We honor the independence and individual nature of each of our clients.
ODHC caregivers are thoroughly screened and continuously trained to be the very best. Our team of nurses provide regular learning opportunities, in-service trainings and one to one instruction with our caregivers. The office staff are compassionate listeners and solution makers. The owners of ODHC feel very strongly that they want to provide the kind of care they would want for their own family.
For the last eleven months of my mother's life, Old Dominion Home Care provided exceptional professional, caring nurse aides, allowing her to stay home in familiar surroundings with my father while receiving the best care possible. From our first intake visit, it was clear that Old Dominion is committed to high standards of training and supervision coupled with a true compassion for their clients and their families. Along the way, when adjustments needed to be made, the owners/administrative staff were completely responsive and focused until changes in schedules, etc. were in place. The care was seamless, with each aide exhibiting uncommonly selfless concern for my mother's welfare. Along the way, my 92-year-old father benefited immeasurable from having such kind and knowledgeable care-givers in the home as well. In fact, the nurse aides and staff became welcome extensions of our family as time went on.
For 33 years, my family has owned and operated a highly-regarded skilled nursing facility in the Alexandria community. We therefore have a clear understanding of the challenges in providing high-quality health care to the frail elderly. Without reservation, I would and will recommend Old Dominion Home Care to families seeking the very best in-home care for their loved ones.Linda N. Holliman
